The Leather

A high-quality handcrafted product must be enhanced by an “excellent” raw material and, in the case of leather, must meet two primary needs: last and improve aesthetically with aging.

The Italian tanning tradition is famous all over the world and “our” leather is the best that this prestigious market can offer.
We strictly use ecological vegetable tannage leather that, in addition to respecting the environment, leaves to leather its natural softness while maintaining the charm of a “alive” product.

Thanks to a close collaboration with the tannery, we manage to have a material selected on our specific needs with three different thicknesses : mm 1.8 and mm 2.8 coming from bovine’s back and mm 3.8 made from bull’s back (the back or rump is the thickest part of skin that goes from the shoulders to the head).

In addition to the thickness, the softness is also variable and “designed” so that the structure of each realization can be properly sized.

The surface finish of the leather is left to the natural and this allows us to treat by “touches” to customize every single piece and give it aesthetic depth in addition to the authenticity perceived with touch.
